Our fun and low-key schools are for drivers of all skill levels who wish to be safe, have fun, and improve their personal performance behind the wheel of their Audi or other sporty coupe or sedan. We combine skilled in-car instruction with enjoyable social evenings. The skills you learn at an Audi Club HPDE will make you a more aware, self-confident, and safer driver every day.

Here are examples of student’s praise for Audi Club’s recent Spring Mountain driving school (see event report below):

“My first Audi Club event. Excellent experience; well structured / organized. Highly professional. Impressive.”

“my first time with the audi club. great experience. would definitely repeat.”

“Great event, great time and safe.”

“Everyone involved was friendly and accessible/approachable. … adherence to the schedule was very good. My thanks to the many folks that made the event a success.”

“Everyone did a terrific job and I thank everyone at SoCal for doing such a fine job.”

“…everyone I talk to during the weekend from other clubs comments positively about the congeniality, the focus on safety, and the efficient organization. They have good reason to. You all should be proud.”

“Such a devoted, professional, high quality and high class organization quite devoid of egos that go with high horsepower.”

“Great school, awesome instructors. The track is very fun, and everyone had great attitudes. Perfect event!”

“Audi Club continues to impress me with the amount of organization and safety they provide.”

EVENT REPORT
Spring Mountain High Performance Driving School
Pahrump, Nevada
109 registered drivers enjoyed a delightful three days of Audi camaraderie at Spring Mountain. The weather was perfect, the driving was precise, and everyone left with big smiles and newly acquired skills. The weekend’s activities included:
Friday morning scenic drive: Members enjoyed touring Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, followed by lunch at Yardhouse in North Las Vegas. Thanks to Kevin Duscha for organizing and leading the scenic drive.
Friday Experienced Driver Day: Over 50 experienced and solo-qualified Audi Club students and our instructors enjoyed the day’s open pit lane format on the 4 mile Andretti C configuration at Spring Mountain. Zeke & PJ Woolley treated us to barbeque brats and salads for lunch.
Friday Meet & Greet and formal Meetings: A delicious buffet supper opened the driving school portion of the event, followed by the First-Timer meeting, Instructor meeting, All-Drivers meeting, and enough extra time to meet your instructor to discuss goals for the weekend.
Saturday Driving School: Morning found the new drivers in the classroom and practicing training exercises led by Dan Hastings, while returning drivers and their instructors interspersed in-car instruction on track with three separate classroom levels, led by PJ Woolley and Bill & Erin Vogel. After a lunch catered by the Spring Mountain Club, all drivers and their instructors continued practicing their driving techniques on Spring Mountain’s 3.4 mile Mansell C track configuration. Chief Driving Instructor Alex Whitney kept the grid and driving activities moving smoothly.
Saturday evening: We returned to the Mountain Falls Golf Club for a delicious banquet dinner, including carving table and desert. The evening was organized by hospitality chair Zeke Woolley, and closed with a benefit raffle and auction emceeded by Ben Payne.
Sunday Driving School: Day two of the driving school continued our theme of safe and fun learning in a supportive and friendly environment. Audi Ambassador and pro racer Ashley Freiberg joined us to provide video coaching and race car hot lap rides (photos below). Wow…

Should Audi Club SoCal hold a Teen Driving Clinic?

Audi Club SoCal would like to sponsor a teen driving clinic in Southern California. Support in the form of program materials, mailing lists, and mentoring is available from Street Survival sponsored by Tire Rack. Our club needs to provide a venue (large open parking lot), volunteer event leadership, and instructors. We would also like this event to be title-sponsored by one of the 25+ Audi dealerships in our territory.
If you would like to be a positive influence on a new teen driver, please reach out to us via email.
